A message to educators: Free, online resources available for distance learning

Release Date

At a time when those of you who are educators are struggling about how to move to distance learning in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, we'd like to offer the resources, scholarship and experience of our Catholics & Cultures team and remind you of the resources accessible to students who may no longer have access to texts.

Catholics & Cultures Website

This free, globally accessible site features scholarly articles, images, videos, demographic data and interviews on aspects of lived Catholicism in nearly 30 countries and nine Eastern Churches. In the coming weeks, we will be adding content on Nigeria and the Ivory Coast.

The website's Educator Resources include a sample course on Contemporary Global Catholicism as well as Secondary School Lesson Plans, a Video Library and Photo Sets that can be adapted for your educational materials.

Journal of Global Catholicism

In seven issues, the peer-reviewed e-journal presents the research of international and emerging scholars on lived Catholicism across India, Africa, and Eastern Europe as well as themes in pilgrimage and Catholic media. All content is open access.
